According to the Boone &Crockett Club, the world's largest whitetail deer was taken at Biggar in Saskatchewan, Canada. Its score was 214 5/8 and the main beam at right was 28 4/8, with the left being 28 /4/8. Some outfitters boast an "almost guarantee" of success in bagging a whitetail with a score of 140 plus. Unless you're hunting Moose in Saskatchewan, it is not required that you hire a guide or outfitter, though it's strongly encouraged especially if you've never hunted in the area before as the guide or outfitter will strongly increase your chances of finding a quality whitetail.
