Canon Rebel T2 Digital Camera - All You May Ever Need In A Camera
It is an awesome camera! It is reminiscent of film cameras that newspaper jockeys used to hope they could get their hands on. It seems the people at Canon saw fit to make a film clone of their digital model. Smart guys! On the surface, the Rebel T2 appears a bit smallish – it has the dimensions of many of its digital counterparts. But, this is where all the similarities end. This is a serious 35mm film camera. Anyone that has used a capable 35mm SLR will instantly appreciate all of the thinking that went into the design and electronics of this one. A compact silver colored polycarbonate body contains enough great features to make the best digital cameras envious. Let’s begin with a blazing fast 1/2000th to 1/4000th shutter speed rating. Then we can move to a continuous three fps continuous shooting mode. This is nearly as good a performance as the “professional” SLRs of 10-20 years ago. How about an equally superb EF 28mm-90mm f/4-5.6 III zoom lens? Standard. If we stopped there, you would have a superb camera for around $300. But it only begins there … We’re into the electronic age and in the digital camera world, so lets talk electronics. The Canon Rebel T2 has a camera back that makes controlling your photography almost sinfully simple. It has a four key AF selection dial with an AF selection button. One shot AF, AI Servo AF, AI Focus AF are the available modes. How about several different image modes including: night scene, close-up, landscape, sports, portrait and auto? This is as close to 100% control over the photograph as is possible. Several creative modes are also included and they include: aperture priority, intelligent program, shutter priority and manual. That means you’ve got control over everything. A built-in popup flash unit takes care of illumination and fill flash needs for you. And this flash has an autoflash metering system. This means you’re going to have a secure and stable flash exposure, even under the most demanding situations. Canon camera lenses are available in a wide assortment of focal lengths from a super wide-angle at 14mm to a super telephoto at 600mm. There are variable zooms that cover a wide range of focal lengths also. Best of all, existing lenses work with this camera! The best solution to deciding whether to buy this camera is simply to do it. Add it to your arsenal of gear. This way the Canon Rebel T2 can make you feel great about getting a shot the “digital guys” can’t seem to get right.
