Capitalsys: Microsoft Warned About Yahoo Partnership.
Microsoft’s new partnership with Yahoo has been met with caution from Microsoft’s legal chief.
Insiders close to the deal told CapitalSys that although in public Microsoft have been telling everyone that this is a win-win deal there are some major concerns from their legal chief.
Its thought that there are worries to the outcome of the deal, the legal chief is cautious about it being a win-win and it is not convinced that the two companies will complement each other as they are touting.
CapitalSys analyst feel that it’s clear that any deal of this size come with risk, success is not guaranteed, especially when you are up against Google. However the management of both companies will not be happy with the rumors as any negativity can have a detrimental effect.
The deal announced last month, in which both companies will share each others technology to combat with Goggles dominance.
CapitalSys notes that shareholders who where buoyant on the news of the partnership will not be so happy with this news. Although CapitalSys does not expect any damage to the share price of each company respectively.
Speaking to a source close to the deal CapitalSys was told that the top brass would not be happy with this kind of leak. They have sent a memo around the company to those involved in the deal not to share personal opinion with reporters.
Microsoft wants to keep its counsel private, and does not want to damage the deal in anyway.
