Change Your Life - Don't Worry Be Happy

I found happiness working at home and I no longer have the worry and stress most folks experience day to day.

Did you know that in recent studies, neurologists confirm that worry and anxiety can kill? This is the final, up-to-date word. Not only is it known, that they can kill but the details of their most murderous methods are very familiar to these doctors. It is now a common belief of neurologists (those who specialize in studying brain diseases) that hundreds of deaths once attributed to other causes each year are due simply to worry and anxiety. In plain, nontechnical language, worry works its damage and injury through certain cells of the brain. We can se its wreckage more clearly if we compare it like this; imagine the constant falling of drops of water in one spot in the sand. Even though it’s just one tiny drop at a time, the consistent dripping drills a hole deeper and deeper with each steady falling drip. Now imagine the same happening with in our brain. It is the insistent, never-lost idea, the single, constant worrisome thought, centered upon one subject, which in the course of time destroys our brain cells. The healthy brain can cope with an occasional worry; it is the repeating and repeating of disturbing thoughts which destroys the cells of our brain. It cannot successfully combat processing a negative thought over and over again with out injury.

Here is another word picture to help describe the terrible effects of worry in our lives. It’s as if the skull were unprotected and bare and then the brain was exposed to a little hammer beating continually on it day after day, until the membranes were disabled from wear and the normal functions failed.

There is no use worrying about things over which you have no control, and if you have control, you can do something about them instead of worrying. Stanley C. Allyn

No mental attitude is more disastrous to personal achievement, personal happiness, and personal usefulness in the world, than worry and its twin sister, hopelessness. The cure for this evil lies in training our will to cast off cares and seek a change of occupation. Relaxation is a certain cure of worry. One healthy principal to incorporate into our lives would be to learn not to fret.

In a life of constant worrying, we are as much behind the times as if we were to go back to use the first steam engines that wasted ninety percent of the energy of the coal, instead of having an efficient modern engine that utilizes ninety percent of the power. Some people waste a large percentage of their energy in difficulties and stewing, in useless anxiety, in scolding, in complaining about the weather and other things we have no control over.

Then, there are others who convert nearly all of their energy into power and moral sunshine. Those who have learned the true art of living will not waste their valuable energies in friction, which accomplishes nothing. Wisdom has taught them to relax and to make changes in their lives that allow peace and prosperity. Many have found the home based business industry and live peaceful contented lives.
