Chinese Dragon On The Wall

It was my daughter’s 18thn birthday yesterday; we threw her a surprise party as well as an ‘all expenses paid’ night out with friends. She really enjoyed the party, meeting all her family, relatives and friends that she hasn’t seen in a very long time.

The best part of her party was the surprise gift I had planned for her, I had arranged for her boyfriend, who lives in Italy, to be flown to London for a month. Her jaw dropped when she saw him standing in front of her as she was about to cut her birthday cake, to see her happy made every penny I had spent worth its while.

As much as I enjoyed the party, I felt as though I didn’t really get to spend time with my daughter as she turned into a beautiful woman. So I had arranged an evening out for the just the two of us, I booked a table at her favourite Chinese restaurant.

We met outside the restaurant as it was round the corner from where we lived, every time I enter that restaurant it feels like I’m in china, the atmosphere and decor is amazing. There is a large wall mirror with the most amazing picture of a dragon painted on it; it’s almost as though the dragon is coming out the mirror.

The evening was going brilliantly, I was enjoying every minute with my daughter. After dinner, we both fancied ice-cream, so we started to make our way to our favourite ice-cream shop where we ended our wonderful evening together.
