Andrei Sakharov as a soviet physicist, Lech Walesa as a Polish labor leader and Aung San Suu Kyi as a Burmese activist all were given the award, The Oslo awards ceremony had family there to accept them. 1935 was the last time an Nobel laureate's family wasn't allowed to attend. Count Carl von Ossietzky had been a German journalist put in a concentration camp after speaking out about Hitler's rise to power. He then won the Nobel Peace Prize. Just as China did with their Confucius Prize Thursday, Hitler then has his own peace prize.
