Before searching for a new camcorder you have to be able to answer to one very simple question. What is the main reason for purchasing a brand new camcorder? The second are DVD camcorders. These camcorders are known with video data storing on small DVDs. What is good about these camcorders is that you can take this mini DVD and play almost on every DVD players, computer or devices that plays video. DVDs also like miniDV casettes are becoming largely popular and available for large public in most of stores.

Third are Hard Disc Drive(HDD) camcorders, which records video directly on internal hard drive, which offers a lot bigger memmory space than DVDs or miniDV casettes. These camcorders allows to insert adittional memory cards in cases if there is no available storage space. Best thing about these camcorders is that any time, when hard drive is full, pictures and videos can be easily transfered to computer, saving time and money.
