Choosing The Best Tv Wall Bracket

The most important things when deciding which type of tv wall bracket to buy is where it is going to be positioned. If it is going to be placed at eye level then a flat tv wall bracket is the best option as it will sit your TV flat on the wall giving it that flush look just like the TV's in magazines! The cables coming from the TV can be hidden in the wall cavity or if brick work the wall can be chased out or the easier option is to buy a simple cable cover which simply clips over the wires coming down the wall to give them a modern look, usually available in black or silver and sometimes they can be painted to match your walls.

The tilt bracket is ideal when the TV is to be placed above eye level, in the bedroom for example or over a mantlepiece. Most tilt brackets will tilt up to 15 degrees. The only downside to the tilt bracket is they will all sit your TV further out from the wall, normally about three inches so are never as flat as the flush mounts. The tilt has to sit further from the wall to allow it to offer the tilt facility.

The tilt & twist and arm brackets are ideal if you need to move the TV to face different seating positions. These offer full movement and are best suited to alcoves and corners. All of these brackets will pull out into the room and every bracket we sell will tell you all of the measurements of the movement to help you choose the best option for you. All of these brackets will also fold back against the wall but bear in mind due to the arm on them they will not fold back as close to the wall as the flat and tilt models, again, the size of each bracket when flat will be shown in the description. Most arm brackets will sit approximately six inches from the wall when flat.

Many arm and twist brackets will have a built in system for hiding your cables along the arm. If you have an awkward corner or alcove then the arm, or corner bracket as they are sometimes called, is the one to go for as it offers the most movement of all of the brackets.
