Christmas Can Come Early With Fun Toys As Part Of Home Security

Who says kids are the only ones able to enjoy playing with toys? Parents can have just as much fun as kids playing with their own sets of little gadgets and gizmos. Boys will be boys, and even men at ages 40 and up enjoy playing with toys. Men love technology, if it comes in the form of a cell phone, computer, or video game. They often will be seen sending the kids off to bed early just so he can have a few extra minutes of video game. Toys as technology comes in all shapes and sizes in the house. A home alarm system offers multiple fun gadgets the man of the house is sure to love.

A stereotypical scene on an American sitcom is the husband explaining the alarm system to the wife. The wife has trouble remembering the code or knowing what buttons to press. She is unsure how to activate the alarm in only certain areas of the house. As the husband explains it to her, the wife’s attention is drifting off somewhere else. Many times alarms are accidentally set off due to the simple fact someone has forgotten the code or pressed the wrong button.

Guys typically love their gadgets. While the women of the house might look at the home security system as a complicated piece of technology, the men see it as their own CIA information system. The wife might even consider it “Mission Impossible” to learn how to use the alarm system!

Security cameras are excellent devices to use for home security. Cameras can be installed at every main door entries. When someone rings the doorbell, you can view them via a small television located at a convenient place in the house. Hidden cameras can be used to spy young couples and babysitters if need be. Kids need not know where the cameras are set up. Some might consider this a little extreme and it’s a possible precaution if parents feel its necessary.

In addition to security cameras, other spy mechanisms can be put in place throughout the home. Audio devices such as bugs and recorders can be strategically placed throughout the house. These can be considered more as toys and put in as fun. Instead of spying on family members, use them as toys to listen in on conversations and television programs. Your family will have a fun time trying to find the location of the listening bug. If you’re family doesn’t appreciate it and consider the audio bugs as an invasion of privacy, simply remove them. Tell them they are only toys, and if it bothers them, use them somewhere else.

Personal protection such as stun guns and pepper spray are also handy gadget to have in the house. Keep them away from children and in a safe location, but they are a nice alternative to personal protection such as firearms. Stun guns and tasers are used by the police force, so they must be a legitimate weapon to use as part of home security. Men might consider these items toys, but their use as part of your home security should be taken serious.
