Church Growth 101

When it comes to church growth there are simply four things that affect the size of your worship attendance to make it much larger of smaller as time passes.

1. Attraction. The total possible growth of your church is based on the quantity of guests who will be given your church in the future. You will get people to attend your church in many ways. One of the most normally used is request. Having someone from your church bring a friend, a relative, your co worker that will church. is the most used is the most effective way to get a brand-new person to attend a person's church. You can use other options like, radio, Television set, cable advertising, signs, mail-outs. All these or other means but you must have somehow to get a person who isn't associated with your church to find out the church is there and become willing to attend.

2. Assimilation. For your church to grow explore only have to have attendees attend, those friends and family need to return. Yet in line with Outreach Marketing only 10 percent of first time attendees will eventually end up being an associate of the church one year later on. There is encouragement during this fact. If you get a man to attend two times then simply 25 percent will end up signing up for the church, three times 50 percent will end up joining the church. I find several churches drop a ball in this an area by having no solutions in assimilation. Just creating a system that will make contact with a guest, make them really feel welcome and cause them to return can significantly increase the growth rate within the church.

3. Attendance Frequency. Most folks forget the importance of this issue. If everyone at your church showed up at one time those that are available every six months, every three months, once a month in addition to weekly, what would you've got? Easter. Easter is large not because of the number of visitors who come but of all the people who phone call your church home occur that one Sunday. Having special attractions and planning points that cause people to all attend on the same Sunday can have a large have an effect on on the attendance of this church.

4. Attrition. Let's face it. People will leave your church. No church can grow without losing people. People pass away. People move away. There happen to be transfers and yes folks get upset at a church and decide to go elsewhere. This is okay. Sometimes it's great when someone not driven goes to a church when they become stimulated and excited about pleasurable an advance in the kingdom. However there are things, tactics you can do to make a back corner door of your church as small as possible.

That's it. Those could be the four areas. I'd really encourage you to take every one of those and look at the church and compare. Increasing one of those areas can make a big difference. Increasing all four can make a surge in the growth of your church.
