Clickbank Web Business-how To Make It Work

So many Guru's, so many secrets to making it big, offers galore, buy this system, but that system. It literally makes your head spin. If you happened to buy into any of these so called systems, doesn't it still seem like information overload, aren't you left feeling like you now have more questions than before? Has anybody actually explained to you exactly the process of how a web business works, how does it all tie together? Probably not!

I'd like to save the clickbank newbie from what could possibly be months of headache, frustration, and lastly but not least of all, avoid the "no income status".

For the Clickbank newcomer, affiliate marketing is perhaps the best way to get your feet wet. Affiliate marketing today is expansively huge, and what it means quite simply is, you sell somebody else's product/service, and when successful, you will get paid a commission.

However most people including myself have been going about marketing for Clickbank totally wrong. Many of us have been trying to generate traffic directly to the sales page, or landing page if you will, with the express purpose of making a sale. If your lucky enough to make a sale this way, that's it, that's the end of ever seeing that customer again. As the months roll by with a trickle of a sale here and there, frustration and disillusionment set in which could very well cause a person to quit. I have, but I'm a little stubborn and don't like to quit. I decided I am not going to be beat, I will beat it..no pun intended. Obviously this is not a way to successful marketing.

What I will attempt to do here is, without the help of graphics, draw you a diagram of a successful marketing process for all you clickbank newbies. First of all I'm assuming you already have a product/service that you wish to promote. Let's start with step one shall we!

Firstly you will need a "squeeze page". Now a squeeze page is a one page website, but it is a particular kind of website whose only purpose is to capture a person's name and e-mail address. This page is an enticement where you are offering something "free", that is of value. Key point here. The only way to receive this free gift is to enter your name and e-mail address in the built in opt in form, that is the only exchange taking place here. You are not selling anything! It could be that the free product you are offering will have a link back to the sales page you are ultimately trying to promote, but your offering should have some relevance to your end product. Why offer a health product if you're really trying to sell a lawnmower? So this is the page you will be trying to generate traffic to, not your end product page, or affiliate landing page.

What has happened here are two things. First and foremost, you are now starting to build a list by attaining legitimately a name and e-mail address. Secondly, you will be starting to build a relationship with your e-mail client by sending them a Thank you page with a link to receive their free product. Any seasoned marketer worth their salt will tell you a list is extremely important, if not the most important ingredient to having a successful internet marketing business. As your list grows, you are building a client base that is literally at your fingertips, at the click of a mouse, to any product/service you wish to promote in the future. However, I cannot stress enough the importance of relationship here, the building of trust with your client base. If all you do is try to cram down their throats product after product, you'll have a whole boatload of unsubscribers on your hands. Your credibility and integrity will be shattered, and therefore your business and income will suffer! Why not just drop a line now and then, say hello, show you're interested in them, what they are doing, maybe you can help, etc. Seamlessly promote your product/service without actually blatantly selling or coercing. Remember, they are thinking breathing people just like you. Again, develop a relationship where you build trust, and you shouldn't have a problem suggesting other products or services and have them bought.

Now all of this generating of e-mails, thank you pages, and delivery of products gets done automatically by computer programs built especially for this purpose. The one service that stands out and is probably the best known is "Aweber". You can open up an account with them, they charge a monthly fee, and they also have a series of videos to help you set up your autoresponder service. If you prefer downloadable readable versions, they offer that also.

So here it is again, step by step. Squeeze page, name and e-mail address, Thank you page, delivery of free product, links to your end product.

Yes, there are many other ways to do business online, but this is a time tested, provable, working model of a web business process that I would suggest to the new and upcoming clickbank affiliates. Thank you for your time in reading this, I hope it to be helpfull.

Kindly, bruce
