Collecting tackles is an enjoyable, fun experience, especially when you really let yourself get into it. I've met anglers who are enthusiasts, antiques, and classic fly fishing hobbyist, experts, and collectors in my day.

I recommend you subscribe to magazines dedicated to fly fishing to get any and all information about fly fishing tackle collectibles. You'll get valuable information such as where to locate them, the names of leading companies that make them, even a short history of who makes them and so on.

Don't forget ebay.com. They have a vast inventory of information which ranges from new and used fishing gears, tackles, etc. Also, add fly fishing clubs, auction houses that specialize on collectible fly fishing tackles. Last, but not least, look for a tackle’s possible defects, value, condition and construction. It'll pay big dividends at the end of the day when it counts and you'll be glad you did.
