Communication Emoticons: Are They Useless?

What comes to mind when you hear (or read) communication emoticons? Do you think of icons showing phones? Rest assured that they are not only that.The communication icons are meant to assist with the way you communicate. They give you shortcuts and easier ways to inform your chat buddy what you are saying in icons that communicate much better than written words.

Greetings
You can see a file of greetings, in both English and German. You may leave the emoticons overnight for them to greet your friend as she or he turns on the laptop or phone in the morning. Or similarly, you are able to send a quick good night using said emoticon via text message. Communication emoticons? An easy way to communicate indeed.

Confirmation
A lot of online communication are about, “Did you receive my email?” or “Have you gone through my message?” and “Yes, I got your message,” or even, “I have responded!” The communication logos reserved for this occasion include ones that display the yellow smiley getting a mail out of the box and another icon displaying a smiley posting a mail.

Bidding Goodbye
Sometimes you have to sign out quickly or you run out of time to type “Talk to you later!” The simplest way to cut your conversation short is by using one of the communication emoticons displaying the word “Bye!” or an icon that depicts the well known kiss goodbye, “xoxo.”

Feedback
Sometimes we want to show our appreciation on a particularly good post in a forum but sadly, we have nothing to add. When this happens, communicaton emoticons are very well suited for what you want. Put on a thumb up icon to inform someone you like what he or she stated. There is also a handshake emoticon to say the same thing.
