Conceiving A Baby Boy By Choice - Can It Really Be Done?

Purposely choosing the gender of your baby may seem like something out of a sceince fiction movie. Nature has made it so that conceiving a baby boy happens just as much as conceiving a girl to ensure the continuous propagation of the human species. Just think about it, if there were only males or only females in the world, humans would pretty soon die out as no reproduction would happen!

Because of this, the agile Y sperm are able to outswim the X sperm quite easily, reach the egg first and fertlize it so you get pregnant with a baby boy. The downside of this speed though, is that the Y sperm will die off a lot sooner than the X sperm - if the egg is further up the woman's reproductive tract, more Y sperm will die off on the way leaving X sperm to fertlize the egg.

Understanding the difference between the X & Y sperm, can enable you to make some changes to the way you have sexual intercourse to increase the chances of having a son.. In order to shorten the travel time from the woman's vagina to the reproductive canal, positions that involve deep penetration is necessary.

Experts also believe that whether or not the woman has an orgasm, has a significant impact on whether or not a baby boy or girl is conceived. During a woman's orgasm, the vaginal walls contract, helping to push the semen (containg the sperm) quicker towards the uterus giving the male sperm a definite advantage. Another reason for such influence is that the endorphins released during orgasm raises the pH level of the woman's body, which is a more conducive environment for conceiving a baby boy.
