Condemned 2 is the survival based action horror game created by Monolith Productions and marketed by SEGA. It is a console based video game released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 only. Condemned 2 was released in America on 11 March, 2008 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 while in Europe was released on it was released on 4 April, 2008. However in Australia, Xbox 360 version was released on 28 March, 2008, where as PlayStation 3 version was released on 3 April, 2007. Condemned 2 is developed on Lithtech Jupiter EX engine. It is also known by the name Condemned 2: Bloodshot but commonly abbreviated as Condemned 2.
Condemned 2: Bloodshot is the sequel to the Condemned: Criminal Origins. The plot is set eleven months after the Condemned: Criminal Origins. Just like its predecessor, the game is based on the melee activities. Story of Condemned 2 starts around Ethan Thomas who is alcohol addicted and is homeless because of some happenings in the Criminal Origins. The game features lot of combat activities but with little adventurism. Condemned 2 include number of changes from the original Condemned video game. Player’s role in the game is to do scenic investigation and make about it.
Condemned 2 multiplayer version includes 4 playable modes: deathmatch, team deathmatch, bum rush, and crime scenes. Along with this multiplayer version also includes 8 maps. Weapons in multiplayer version of Condemned 2 differ from the single player version in the sense that some of them are not included in the multiplayer version. However multiplayer version of Condemned 2 can support eight players at a time. Ethan Thomas, Rosa, Serial Killer X, Farrell, Agent Lerue, Agent Dorland, MagicMan and Inferi are the characters included in the Condemned 2.
Even though Condemned 2 is released just recently but the game has met with positive response from the gamers, critics and reviewers. There are many improvements over the Condemned: Criminal Origins such as improved combat and improved environment. But some say that Condemned 2 has mislaid the strong storyline of original Condemned. However, Official Xbox Magazine has given it 8 out of 10 points and Official PlayStation Magazine gave Condemned 2 nine out of 10 points, really very good rating for any game.
