Confessions Of A Foodie

Come here. Listen carefully. I have a confession to make. Let us keep this between ourselves ok? You promise? Well? Well? Here goes. You will not believe it, but I am an addict. Yes, you heard me correctly the first time. I am an addict. Now, now stay still. I do not bite. Silly, why do you look so scared? Do I look like a murderer to you? I do not have any concealed weapons here you know. I cannot even kill a cockroaches coz I am deathly afraid of them. What I mean about being addicted is not addicted in the common perception. I am addicted to food and an online game called cooking games. hehe Gotcha! Ouch! Ouch! Stop choking me! I was just pulling your leg! Cheez, and you think I am scary!

Ok. Ok. I guess addicted is such a very strong word, but why get mad? You always here people say that they are addicted to love or that they addicted to their Blackberries or that they are addicted to drugs. Ouch! I am sorry. Now tell me then: What is wrong with saying that I am addicted to food and cooking games? I really am fond of them both. Then I should have used that latter word you say? If it makes you feel better, fine. I will rephrase my sentence: I am fond of food and cooking games. There. Did that make you feel better? Come on, chill. As I said before, I was just pulling your leg. I should not have kept my addictions suspense to you. You really can’t take a joke. Memo to self: you can’t take a joke. Load file to memory and save.

Seriously, it does not look obvious doesn’t it? About me being a foodie? I am not a glutton mind you. I just enjoy eating and savoring good food. Nothing to exotic please. I want my food dead and cook in any cooking instrument. That means no raw food for me too please. Yes, my gusto for food does not extend to Japanese food. I mean who likes to eat raw fish wrap in seaweed?! Oh well, I guess they do. But didn’t mankind discover fire millions of years ago? Shouldn’t that mean something to them? I guess not. Enough with the Japanese and their eating habits. To each his own addiction. What is my favorite food? Easy. Shawarma. It is some Middle Eastern cuisine silly. And I love cakes and anything sweet too. Which brings me to my other addiction: Cooking games.

You have not heard of them? Well, cooking games are what their name implies: games about cooking. Culinary lessons are expensive mind you, so I have to contend with what is there. All I have to do is connect to the Internet and I can simulate cooking like a real pro. You call me pathetic? I won’t mind at all if you’re going to pay my fees at cooking school.
