“connect” Is Replaced By Social Plug-ins On Leading Networking Platform, Facebook.

Facebook the leading social platform ditches is historic “Connect” platform in an attempt to further expand its enormous web presence.

It seems that our friends at Facebook are not quite happy with being the worlds most popular social networking site on-line. As such, Facebook is looking to further expand.

Facebook is to loose the Connect platform and replace it with a whole new set of social plug-ins. 30 new partners have linked to Facebook including the likes of Sky News, IMDb.com and Levi’s.

These new plug-ins allow internet users to log into Facebook via third party sites and start using. Mark Zuckerberg said via the blog “This next version of Facebook platform puts people at the centre of the web. It lets you shape your experiences online and make them more social.”
There doesn’t seem to be any mention of privacy issues as yet.

No doubt there will be a significant backlash from Facebook fans on this fairly radical change and as ever it will take time to settle down.
