If your baby is getting to the stage where he or she is about to graduate from the infant car seat you might be shopping around for baby strollers. Although some people will start using a stroller sooner, about the time the time a child begins to sit up, they will be ready to start using one. And if you will be buying one for the first time there are several features that you will want to take a look at so you have no regrets later.

The first thing you need to realize is that you are going to have this stroller for a couple of years, and you want to invest in one that will last as well as one that can be adjusted for size. As your baby begins to walk, there will come a time when they will walk everywhere you do, but they will not be able to keep up with the stamina of an adult. Your child will need to be pushed around well after they learn to walk. Make sure that your new stroller can be adjusted to allow for the growth of your child.

You will also need to have a good canopy that will shield a child’s eyes from the sun. Often they will fall asleep while you are out and about with them and you want to allow your child to nap if they want to. Make sure your stroller can handle the weight of a child and is not too flimsy. There are baby strollers that are made like tanks, but you don’t need anything to strong, however, try to avoid those strollers that are real cheap. Take a long look at the wheels and make sure they are strong enough for rough pavement and going over curbs.

Another important feature to look for is one or more holders for your baby items. You will need a handy place to keep a juice or milk bottle for your child as well as any other items you may need to bring with you. If you are bringing a diaper bag with you, you will need to be able to place this in a cargo spot, or a the least, be able to hang it over the handles of the stroller. At a minimum, your new stroller should be able to take everything you need to bring with you on a trip with your child.
