It's durable and solid as bike locks go. At a price of $30.00, it's a little steep for my liking. Mongoose Cable is formed by the bike company of the same name and works great. I like this one as a combo lock and for $ 1.00, it does as promised. OnGuard Beast 5017 is the most costly of the bunch but many riders believe that it's the best in its class. Truth be known, it costs a lot more than my runabout bikes and comes highly recommended even at the $55.00 price range.

The secret to keeping your racing bike secure from theft is to make it look like it's going to take forever to steal. Always go with multiple locks and different styles in combination. You may go with a chain for the front wheel and frame in combination with a U-lock for the back wheel and frame. Don't go overboard and get southing that you really cannot open and shut consistently or if you are the forgetful type, combination locks with numbers for which you'll fail to remember. The main thing is to stay protected and protect your stuff with good bicycle locks that you can feel confident will deter the bad guys.
