Coping With Loss

Everyday we go through some type of loss. It may be the washing machine breaking or losing our car keys, or, it may be more tragic, such as the loss of our independence because of physical/health issues, or, it may be the loss of a loved one. We go through so many losses daily, weekly, and in our lives. How do we deal with all of this day in and day out? We do what we have learned and what works for us...and, at times, we also do what doesn't work for us.

It is not always about the severity of the loss, but how we deal with that loss and what we can learn from that loss. I have learned over many, many losses and tragedies, that it is more about how we react to the losses and how we look at them, and what we can learn from them. Each time we have a loss in our lives, we are meant to learn something from it and grow from it. This is what makes us the person we are truly meant to be. God gives us challenges and we need to take advantage of them, as difficult as it seems in the moment and afterwards, but as we learn to accept the issue, we can more clearly look at it and ask ourselves, "What can I learn from this?"

Look for many articles to come on coping. I will look at different losses that we deal with in our daily lives; some more tragic than others; and I will show you and give you ways to cope and move your life in a forward direction to live the life you so deserve and dream of....
