There is a great set of benefits if you have copywriting as a work. The pay for a copy writer is much greater than the average wage in the United States. According to the magazine Advertising Age, the average pay for a copy writer in the United States is about $60,000 when you include additional compensation and that was for the year 2005. You can imagine that the income will be higher today, given that there has been an increase in pay in the previous few years. The Bureau of Labor Statistics comes up with a similar but somewhat lower amount, about $57,000 for a copywriter.

Copywriting gives a great deal more flexibility than many jobs. You do not need to worry about regular working hours usually because the focus is on the quality of your output. This can allow you to live a full life in special ways because you can fulfill your other dreams around the basis that you can make up more time in hours on certain days if something comes up. This is desirable benefits that many jobs such as comapnies or restaurants cannot offer you.

Copywriting as a profession also provides a fantastic workplace atmosphere. Many copywriters work within an advertising agency, which can be a great place to work. You oftentimes have many other creative colleagues and there you can bounce ideas off of one another and these people usually have great levels of energy which you can feed off of. This can be a great circle of people to work with because you will usually determine that you are challenged because of the maturity and creativity of this group of people. There are many kinds of ad offices you can opt to work for a smaller advertising agency if you like a close-knit group of people or you can work for a greater advertising agency if you want more competition. This could be structured based on the level of experience that you want.

Creating good copy can be very tough so you will realize that this profession will never become boring. If you work at an ad company, you regularly will have many different cases of clients so the work that you execute day in and day out can vary. This is great because you'll get a fantastic variety of different things you will never get bored.
