Could A Laser Dermabrasion For Acne Do The Trick?

So many years back, I was looking through the yellow pages in a cubicle at the law firm that I was working for at the time. I was skimming through the names of dermatologists and came believe it or not had begun circling the names of some that professed to being able to give laser derma-brasions.

You see at the time, after an honest assessment of the image I saw in the mirror, I decided I had to do SOMETHING about this acne, and since I had tried everything, I thought perhaps a laser dermabrasion for acne might work.

SOMETHING HAD TO AND QUICK!

Well, I did my research to see what I was up against financially and turns out even though a successful laser dermabrasion for acne may include various types of laser exposure such as carbon dioxide lasers or nonabrasive lasers and may be somewhat effective for eliminating the negative effects of zits and pimples, they also come at a noticeable price.

Nonetheless, It seemed safe and convincing enough as the whole process was based on how the laser device emits a smooth laser beam that focuses on the affected areas – one of the supposed best methods for a laser treatment acne cure.

The beam emits a pulsating heat below the skin's surface and diminishes the size of the sebaceous glands, which are responsible for acne.

Now, if this sounds close to burning the skin and as a result, painful, the dermatologist I spoke to on the subject said that patients of acne blemish laser treatment use creams to numb the area where the laser will be applied, so they say the process is virtually painless.

At only $500 for a 15-20 minute laser acne treatment session, I thought it could be very well worth the investment and its advocates believe it may be even cheaper than buying other expensive medications and ointments for a much longer period of time.

I told a female friend what I had thought was going to be THE answer to my acne problem but she wisely asked if I had looked into the side-effects and I told her I honestly hadn’t.

Well, I ‘googled’ that up and it turned out that as effective as its advocates may state that laser dermabrasion could be for acne, some of the commonly encountered side effects include skin discoloration, skin crusting and, in some cases, swelling of the affected areas. The Carbon Dioxide laser is also known to produce higher levels of pigmentation during the acne blemish laser treatment.

Well, suffice it to say that I didn’t go along with the idea and thankfully, with that door closed, another door opened and out came the answer to my acne issues as written elsewhere in this medium.

Nonetheless, If I am asked now if I advocate a laser treatment acne cure?
I’ll say if you’ve got the financial abilities, maybe, but I'll say this much, natural cures can work better and you perhaps may not have to worry so much about side-effects, pimples returning and you get the added bonus of improved health.

You just have to be shown how…and I’ve written on the subject my friend.

All in all, here’s to improved health.

Yours truly,
