Crafty No-sew Costumes

You don't need a fairy godmother to magically transform pajamas, thermals and sweats into spectacular costumes without sewing a stitch. It takes little more than pixie dust and ingenuity:

• Fairy princess and ballerina costumes use a tee and leotard with a yard of tulle gathered at the waist. Add glittery trim to neckline and cuffs and a flower-covered headband.

• For superhero and wizard costumes, use felt for a no-sew cape to wear over thermals or pajamas. Decorate with felt cutouts or bold embellishments.

• Make animal and flower costumes using long johns dyed in fun colors. Add butterfly wings and spider legs. Attach puppy dog and kitty cat ears and petals to headbands.

• To add embellishments, secure skirt gathers at waist, shorten hems, and for zipless closures, try no-sew Velcro® brand Fabric Fusion.
