“create Good Credit!”

Want lower interest rates and great credit offers?

Having good credit habits which create a good credit rating will allow this to happen. Establishing a good credit rating is important to your credit companies and lenders. Buying a car or a home, and even insurance, is based on your credit performance. Ultimately, your credit worthiness is how they decide to give good credit deals.

A poor history of credit habits will definitely have you targeted as a credit risk and that will be reflected on your credit report. Things such as late payments, collections, and bankruptcy all have, of course, a negative effect on your history. Therefore, establishing good credit and good credit habits will most definitely improve your personal credit line. Potential lenders will start offering you better deals on credit offers and lower interest rates.

Here are some tips to creating a good credit line:

1) Pay all your debts on time. How you pay off your debts will determine what kind of credit your lender will give you.

2) Use only two to four credit cards. Using too many cards has a negative impact and using too few credit cards show that you are possibly still not established. (I know, go figure?)

3) Always pay at least the minimum on your credit cards, and if you do that, realize how long it’s going to take to pay off and how much interest you will be paying.

4) Get a copy of your credit history report yearly, making sure all of the facts and statements are correct and true. Periodically review all three of the major credit bureau reports from TransUnion, Experian and Equifax.

I always preach this because these tips can help you out immensely. If you have any errors in your credit report, have them repair it immediately. Stolen identities are big right now, so if you notice something that doesn’t look right, i.e. an account listed that you never opened, request to have a fraud alert placed on your account right away to protect you and your credit. One million people a year have fallen victim to this crime each year and it continues to be a problem all over the world.

Creating good credit starts with making your payments on time a habit. If you make it a habit, I promise you will benefit from this for the rest of your life!
