Create Passive Income
But to have such a dream job, you have to do the work up front in order to reap the benefits down the road. Passive income is income that keeps coming in long after your initial work is done. A couple of examples of passive income is owning rental property or receiving royalties. Once you rent your apartment (the work), you collect rent on that property for months. Income keeps coming in even after your work is done. One of the most common ways for people today to make passive income is through network marketing and affiliate marketing. Network marketing is when you sell a product or service that requires a monthly fee, such as selling web hosting or some sort of subscription. Those in this business also try to recruit more people to sell the same product, and receive a commission on their recruit’s sales. More passive income. You can see that the more streams of income you have coming in, the more income will start to build and the amount of work you have to do to maintain your income will drop—eventually. That doesn’t mean that at some point your work will be done, however. People drop subscriptions, eventually royalties for work stops coming in. You must continue to produce, and in the network marketing field, your downline must continue to produce for you, as well. Anyone who has the entrepreneurial spirit can easily create several streams of income. It’s extremely inexpensive and easy to throw up a website or blog and start bringing in money through affiliate marketing or sales. The important thing is to treat each project individually and devote a certain amount of time to each. Once you get the bug to create more streams of income, it can be difficult to stop. You may find yourself blogging your life away or constantly trying to come up with new and better ways to make money online. If that’s what you do best, then go for it. Many Internet entrepreneurs have several sites, all of which are geared to make money. Remember, while it can be difficult to make huge amounts of money from a single site, it’s far easier to make a lot of smaller amounts of money from several sites. All those little checks do add up. The idea of creating several websites—or selling several products from a single website—that all bring in passive income is one that is growing in popularity, because we all dream of working less and making more.
