Creating One-way Inlinks To Your Webpage
In the menus linking your webpages, always opt for text links rather than graphics and use your keywords again in those text links. For example, in my mixed martial arts webpages I use keyword anchors that are common to searches for sport fighting sites such as Ultimate Fighting, MMA, Cagefighting, etc. If the link says UFC, then the search engine will conclude that the page it leads to is somehow relevant to UFC. The same goes for any anchors in the site. Dealing with external links directed to your webpage, things appear rather simple if still frustrating. Submit your pages manually to all free directories having any pagerank. Use pay directories if you think you need to, but it is not impossible to get your webpage ranked well without paying. Exchanging links with other webmasters (particularly those with similar content to yours) is an excellent method to get your site established on the net, but it can sometimes be difficult to find well ranked websites willing to trade with an early stage website. Building your rank first will give other site owners something to gain by linking to your page. So how do site owners create relevant external links to their websites if no one will swap links? The simple answer is to write. Pause for a moment and take a good look at this article. If you can write content for your webpages then you can create articles to post all over the internet in directories and blogs. When you add your tag line to the article, include your link. It's that simple really. If you write something in relation to your page then you will have created a post full of keywords with your link attached. When writing out of context, you can invent creative methods to include a few good keywords as I did with my earlier example of the Ultimate Fighting mixed martial arts page. Preparing a few good articles for submission will also improve your writing technique by a lot. Linking to your webpage in this way builds one-way links which are said to be given more credit by search engines than two-way links, and it is an aspect of the webpage promotion process that you can control. Before you start hammering out an article to post everywhere, there is one consideration to make. Some search engines use a duplicate content filter to make "doorway pages" less effective. What this means is that if the indexing robot reads the same content again and again in different locations, it will disregard the duplicates. Now you are groaning, "Am I supposed to spend months writing hundreds of articles?" There are software applications that can rewrite your articles for you. I opt for a free online version, and it seems to be the most complete one spinning hundreds of unique natural looking versions of your articles. You will have to devote some time preparing your original article with variable words/sentences, then click one button. Remember to check the rules of directories for site specific policies. Text links anchored to your website are a big part of your website promotion. The more relevant links you can add, the better your results will be. Take control of your website's destiny and build some one-way links that describe what your webpage is about. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com J.
