There is a box the same size as the table which is located underneath the transparent glass. So you can take the glass off and put something artsy in the box and replace the glass.

Your second option is to buy some glass paint and roll up your sleeves. The glass here would be your canvas and you can either do some minor motifs on the corners or in random patterns, paint a mural, or go abstract. Another thing you could do would be to give the glass just a light coating of paint so that it looks stained. Very classy and expensive-looking.
