Lets first start with ruling out dinner, movie and drinks. (And DVD is just too casual for a date.) We know that those are too average it will simply get overlooked by the brain. Do something new in your daily life with your significant other half. Like signing up for new classes for eg baking, cooking, sports or lifestyle courses. This not only allows you to enrich your way of life, but also enable you to spend more constructive time together with your loved one.

Read poems and Psalms to each other. If you dare to, you could get a Bible and read the Song of Songs to each other. You can take turns playing the parts there. It's a very romantic, even erotic piece. Not for the crazily religious and prudish.

Take them home and make them into necklaces or paint them with faces, decorations or other creative ideas. Save them for a later time and give them as a small gift to each other on a special occasion. It will make the gift a double memory for the both of you. Go to the bookstore, and select a cookbook. Look for a recipe that is appetizing to both of you, and copy down the ingredients. You can then stop by a grocery store together, purchase the necessary ingredients, and prepare a meal together at either one of your apartments. Do not forget some wine and music. However, it may be wise to make sure that you have some frozen pizzas or instant noodles, just in case the meal preparation turns into a disaster.
