Another step in the knocking in process is protective facing in which the protective adhesive sheet should be applied to the bat which protects the bat from the huge and hard hitting impact of the cricket ball. The last step is general in which adhesive facing is done, after the completion of the process of protective facing. So, it is important to give bat another light oil treatment at least two times in a week. The knock in process usually takes 4 to 6 hours.
