Crown Chakra Awareness Leads To Full Enlightenment
Crown Chakra Basics: Color: white or violet Element: energy Location: top of head Associated body parts: center of the head, brain, fontanel Basic issues: wisdom, intuitive knowing, spiritual development, humanitarianism, selflessness, connection to the Divine, universal higher consciousness Gemstones and crystals: black opal, diamond, quartz crystal, sunstone Flower essences: lotus, star tulip, yarrow Essential oils: frankincense, geranium, sandalwood Food: none (fasting: ingest only water, juices) Signs of Imbalances in the Crown Chakra: Major issues of an unbalanced Crown Chakra are lack of purpose, loss of meaning, indifference and depression. An attachment to materialism is central, and ethical and moral beliefs may be weak. We may feel disconnected from the flow of life and nature. Spirituality is nonexistent, or we may have an unquestioning adherence to religious dogma. The Crown Chakra can be a dangerous place for imbalance, as some become vulnerable to anxiety and depression, or even possibly to a psychosis. Physical manifestations of an imbalance include cranial and cerebral illnesses; diseases of the musculoskeletal system; skin problems; chronic exhaustion; hypersensitivity to light, sound, and environment. Mind-altering drugs and material acquisitiveness are common addictions. Crown Chakra Balancing Techniques: When the Crown Chakra is balanced, you will experience a profound awakening: like the lotus blossom when it opens. You feel completely connected to your innate spiritual nature, and to divine or cosmic consciousness. The knowledge that higher powers prevail brings assurance that you are fulfilling your true destiny. This assurance often creates a sense of bliss. Activities that promote and maintain Crown Chakra include: Silent meditation, chanting, conscious breathing. If you are desperate, try to completely let go, allow divinity to intervene and fate to take its course. You have nothing to lose, but stand to gain significantly. Holding or wearing black opals, diamonds, quartz crystals or sunstone. For more information about the chakras, please see Chakras for Beginners: at The Yoga Dojo.
