Cunard's Queen Elizabeth - A Very British Affair

Whilst there has been ongoing speculation and media hype surrounding Cunard Cruises newest and world class liner, the Queen Elizabeth, much of the detailing has been surrounding her décor and statistics. However, new news has revealed that shopping aboard the 2,092 passenger ship will be a very British affair.

Due to arrive in Southampton in less than two months, the much hyped about liner saw tickets for her maiden voyage sell out in less than half an hour. And for those experiencing the Queen Elizabeth for the very first time, spending hours shopping amongst her 16 decks will supply passengers with a little bit of British.

One particular highlight onboard will be chic and quintessentially British store, Fortnum & Mason. Well known for its household goods, fine foods and pristinely turned out staff, the outpost on the Queen Elizabeth will sell, amongst other things, biscuits, gifts, preserves and teas. Meanwhile English made perfumes from Penhaligons, and Aspinal of London's handmade photo albums, purses, wallets and other leather goods will be available

For those interested in clothing, a passenger vessel first will be made with Harris Tweed selling hand woven Scottish woollen items, and Hackett of London's designer men's clothing ranges. Accessory designer Anya Hindmarch will provide a range of her goods, whilst expensive Chopard jewellery and watches will also be on sale. And with cruise holidays aboard the Queen Elizabeth already in much demand due to her sheer media spotlight, the added attraction of a quintessential British affair is likely to lure guests both near and far.
