Keep crackers by your bed and eat a couple before getting out of bed each morning. For some reason it seems to lessen the feelings of nausea for many pregnant women. It is believed that coating the stomach with some food before rising for the day helps combat the morning sickness. Some women sip on ginger ale and eat crackers before getting up.

Eating Habits - If at all possible try to avoid greasy and fatty foods. Also, avoid foods that have a strong odor as this may contribute to your feelings of nausea.

Keep Your Body Hydrated - Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. If water is one of the things that contributes to your morning sickness, try making it ice cold and adding a little lemon to it. You can also drink carbonated caffeine free drinks such as 7 up, ginger ale and sprite. But water is still the best option.

Exercise - Exercise is probably the last thing you want to think about in your current state but exercising for 5 to 10 minutes a day out in the fresh air will make you feel much better.

You can take ginger in a variety of ways to include, tea, powered or in capsule form to alleviate morning sickness. Just be sure to take it in moderation or as recommended by a health care professional.
