Currency Trading Training - Forewarned Is Forearmed
Currency trading training is a lucrative business. What I am outlining here is something that I do not recommend you do yourself, but it is something that you should be aware of, so you can protect yourself from the fraudsters that you'll likely come across in this field.
If you search online you'll soon discover several free and low cost information products about currency trading (or forex), and some with resale rights or private label rights, which means you can re-write and rearrange the material to produce your own product.
On the forums you'll often find short ebooks free of charge written by enthusiastic wannabe forex traders explaining some technique or other that they've been using to make profits on a particular currency pairing. If you're unscrupulous enough you can copy these and present them as your own work, and then mix everything up into quite an impressive package to sell for $97, $197 or even more.
You can then hire a copywriter to write a compelling sales letter as the home page of your web site. A graphics artist will produce several stunning graphic images full of color and excitement, so you can decorate your web site with them and make it enticing. If you put a "squeeze page" and auto responder form on there as well then you have a really professional looking site, and you can expect to make a lot of money selling currency trading information, or "training".
Of course you don't need to know anything about currency trading to sell training and information about it. It's a very lucrative market, with thousands of new prospects coming online all the time to find information about making money from currency trading.
So now you know. To repeat - I do not recommend you do this yourself because if you do you'll be as bad as all the frauds out there who are doing it.
The problem is to distinguish between someone who has followed the plan just outlined and a genuine trader who can teach you how to make money on the financial markets. Less than 5 per cent of newcomers to currency trading make any money from it. The rest lose everything, usually within 3 months or so.
Often this fact will be used by sellers of forex trading "information" to persuade you that you can only avoid the fate of the 95 per cent by buying their course, ebook, DVD or whatever. They're all saying that and they can't all be right. Most of them will also assure you that you can make massive profits very easily. I even saw one site recently that said I could invest just £300 (GBP) and within weeks be earning £5,000 (GBP) a week.
The truth is that even highly successful currency traders who deal in millions of dollars make only 30 per cent a year at the most. Now I'm not knocking 30 per cent a year. In fact it's a fabulous rate of return, but it's not the same as going from £300 capital to £5,000 a week within weeks. You have to face the fact that most sellers of currency trading training or information are just lying in order to get your money.
The successful traders are either employed by the big banks and have millions of dollars to back them up, or they are a tiny minority of successful private traders who actually trade other parts of the financial markets, such as stocks and commodities, more than forex.
So please, don't fall for the glitz and glamour of most forex or currency trading training or "information" sites. Look for a successful trader on the financial markets and see if he is prepared to teach you how to make profits in the same way. You'll find he won't be trading the currency markets very often, but if you can learn from him how to trade successfully I'm sure you won't mind that...
