Customer Newsletters For Your Network Marketing Business

Newsletters are essential to your network marketing business. They allow you to stay in touch with both existing customers and prospective customers.

Newsletters can be done both electronically and also through postal mail. Depending on your budget, you can start a Yahoo Group and set your preferences so that members are read only (members can not post). Or you can set up an account with a service such as AWeber. I personally use AWeber, but there is a monthly fee.

Customer newsletters allow you to introduce new products, share sales and even offer your own personal incentives and specials. By sending newsletters, you are able to keep your name in front of customers every month or even every quarter. When I prepare a customer newsletter, I like to include the following:

An article relevant to the products I’m selling. This can either be an article I’ve written or an article I’ve found on the web.

Information about one product. This can be a new product or an existing product. I want to give the customer more information about just this one product. Don’t make this an ad, but rather some good factual information.

Some type of special. There might be a company sale or I might be offering a gift certificate with purchase that month. I want my customers to know what they can find on sale.

I’ve always been involved in food related businesses, so I’ve always included a new recipe each month. In fact, I invite my customers to submit a recipe and if I use their original recipe I’ll offer them a surprise gift.

That’s it, very short and sweet. I can fit this on one piece of paper front and back. Most word processors have newsletter templates. Just personalize the template and you’ll already have columns set up and borders put in. For those that prefer receiving an electronic copy, you can either set up a mail group to send it out or you can paste the newsletter into a program such as AWeber that I mentioned above.

Depending on the size of your customer base and the information you have, you might consider a birthday section where you wish your customers a happy birthday. One way to find out when their birthday is, is to offer 10% off one order as a birthday gift during the month of their birthday. Now you’ll know when their birthday is for future years.

By providing a customer newsletter, you’ll keep your name and products in front of the customer each and every month.
