"darth Maul: Shadow Hunter" - A Review

The book is written by Michael Reaves who also wrote Clone Wars short stories, Star I: Battle Surgeons and Medstar II: Healer.

Shadow Hunter is a few months before the Trade Federation attack on Naboo. The viceroy of the Trade Federation Nute Gunray and Sith Lord Darth Sidious has problems. One senior member of the Trade Federation, hath Moncar have disappeared. Nute Gunray has not told Darth Sidious on Moncars disappearance, but Sidious has seen through Gunrays lies. Darth Sidious fear that Moncar have got cold feet at the last minute and will leak information about the impending invasion of Naboo.

Trade Federation sends bounty hunter Mawhi Linn to Coruscant to seek Moncar while Sidious sends his apprentice Darth Maul off. Mawhi Linn killer hath Moncar and Darth Maul kills Mawhi Linn. But the success of a man named Lorn Pavan and his protocol droid to steal a holocron containing information about the invasion of Naboo.
To make a long story short, matched the rest of the book on how Pavan and his droid and Jedi apprentice Darsha Assante (as Lorn Pavan meetings later in the book) attempts to reach the Jedi Temple to deliver holocronen the Jedi when Darth Maul trying to stop them.

Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter is a good book. It's exciting because we include hear about Darth Maul training, preparations for the invasion of Naboo, and how an ordinary man can be a challenge for a Sith. An "error" by the book is that it well may seem a bit long drawn. Most of the book goes with that Lorn Pavan and his droid and jedilærlingen Darsha must reach Jedi Temple.
Although the book is in English, it is not so difficult to understand.
The book is perhaps not very relevant for the Star Wars saga, as such, but it is still worth reading because of its reasonably high level of entertainment.
