Data Encryption For All

When the term “Data Encryption” is used in conjunction with the word Internet, industry terminology points to the usage of VPN technology and Secured Socket Layers (SSL), yet the industry seems to be overlooking a major component; Data Encryption used by a person just to access the Internet.

The term for this is Covert Surfing because all of the data flowing in and out of the computer (through the program Covert Surfer) is encrypted, meaning that you can surf the Internet anonymously and securely without having to worry about someone on the Internet, seeing what you are looking at, what websites you visited, or even what you downloaded.

Covert Surfing assists in the protection of your identity (while using the Internet) by using National Institute of Standards and Technology 256 bit AES packet encryption , where as most people who access the Internet, are doing so without any form of encryption whatsoever. Not using data encryption means that everything you do can be (and probably is) logged by someone who is looking at using this information for their own personal gain, such as identity theft.
There are thousands of programs available on the Internet, which allow a person to monitor computers activities without even being in the same location, thus information that you send and receive can be captured, including the user names and passwords for your online bank access. Wi-Fi Hotspots are especially vulnerable and do not provide wireless security to protect your Internet connection. Public Internet access points are not required to provide you with Internet connection protection. Although encrypted Internet connections have been around a very long time, they are primarily used for businesses over their secured networks.

Just over a year ago, Covert Surfer, the Internet Freedom Tool was released to the public. It not only keeps your data safe when surfing the Internet, but also keeps cyber spies from knowing what you are doing. Cover Surfer allows you to surf the Internet anonymously and securely by encrypting the data that leaves your computer through the program, and decrypting it when data is received. It contains a registry clean program and automatically erases your Internet cookies when you close the program. In addition, it provides you with a file shredder which destroys any files you don’t want others to discover. Covert Surfer is another great tool in the fight for Internet Identity Protection. Covert Surfer can be downloaded directly onto your computer or onto a USB Flash Drive, making it portable and a perfect travel companion.
