Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs will be released on DVD this coming November, right around Thanksgiving and this one is bound to be a big hit this holiday season. Not quite as gripping as the first and second installment, but yet it is a good family film that is fun and playful and is incredibly done in 3-D which makes the visual effects in this movie very pleasing.
While watching this film, parents will be pleased to recognize the voices of famous actors such as, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and Josh Peck. The film starts waiting for Manny to arrive. Because of this, Sid starts to feel left out and unwanted, so he decides to wander off by himself. While wandering he discovers three eggs, and decides to take them for his own, and mother the eggs. When the parents of the eggs return, Sid gets upset and takes off into the world that lies beneath. When Buck and the rest, notice that Sid is missing they decide to search for him. The remainder of the film is a race against the clock as the group rushes to find Sid so that they do not miss Ellie's birth of their newest family member.
This film takes the characters in a new direction, as they are more relaxed and together as a group, then in the first two Ice Age movies. This allows watchers to see a more fun, friendly and kind side of the characters instead of the usual intimidating characters that we are used to watching.
With the 3-D effects, you will witness a lot of charisma, as it adds more life into your favorite, huggable characters. I have seen all three of these films with my children, and all of us agree that this was the one we enjoyed the most. This film seemed to bring together open story lines from the original two films, and lead them to a conclusion. It appears that it will be the last film in the series, but when it comes to Hollywood one can never be to sure.
Ice Age 3 is overall an enjoyable film that will have your family smiling and laughing from beginning to end. It is the perfect gift for the holiday season or for a movie after you have finished your Thanksgiving turkey.
Although the Ice Age 3 DVD is not available for purchase yet it is a fun and entertaining film for the entire family. Ice Age 3 Dawn Of The Dinosaurs is a fun 3-D adventure that makes your favorite characters feel like they are right in your home.
