Dealing With Panic Attacks And Taking Back Control
Let us think about it for a moment. Panic Attacks are intense moments of fear, which has a cause. The cause behind this can be hereditary (runs in the family) and from high, constant, and frequent states of anxiety. Be sure to do some research and ask family to rule this out as a possibility, or discover if it is indeed part of the cause. If it is, odds are that anxiety will cause the panic attacks more often. Now, to reduce the odds of these attacks occurring it would also mean reducing the stress and anxiety we encounter on a normal basis. An effective way of managing this, is to take a bit of time and make a list of causes. Brainstorm a little, visually move through each day and try to identify sources of stress. When we have a list, now we will need to spend a bit more time again and figure ways we can reduce the potential stress associated with it, or even eliminate it. Some examples might be of help here. If you find you typically argue with someone at work over trivial issues, you may want to save your time and avoid the argument all together. This can reduce some stress, and every little bit helps as it tends to compound and strike in the form of an attack. Dealing with Panic Attacks also means we can replace certain sources of anxiety as well. Being that we may typically be in a constant state of worry and fear, watching the News on TV may only serve to reinforce some of our fears and inflict some negativity upon us. Although helpful to know, a fair bit of these things portray negative happenings in the world. It does not leave a good feeling on us. Consider watching a comedy show you enjoy, or playing a video game full of fun with some friends and family. By changing up a few of the things on a daily basis, we can overall reduce a substantial amount of stress and anxiety. This in turn will help us to reduce the frequency of panic attacks, and we can gradually regain control of our life.
