Declutter Now - One Big Tip To Get Your Home Decluttered Fast

A big stressor in my life has always been keeping my house clutter free, it wasn't easy for me. I ended up wasting so much time and effort because I'd have to look real hard for possessions I had misplaced. I never wanted to have people over because my house was a mess.

I learned this valuable lesson about decluttering when I once read a good decluttering book. You must have a system, or, an order to your home. I'm not just talking about things looking like they are all in place and you like decluttering on the 3rd tuesday of every month. When I say a system, I mean that every single item in your home needs to have someplace where it belongs. This way, finding things will not be hard because you'll always know where to look. But, this system won't work unless you are diligent and disciplined enough to always put things back where they belong.

See, it really isn't that complicated. Your mom probably harped on that to you when you were young, "Always put your toys back where they belong after you're done playing." The problem is, as we get older and we get more and more possessions, plus all the daily mail and documents we receive really make keeping things organized difficult.

The second type of system you should use refers to the decisions about keeping things or throwing them away. I got a couple great techniques to make this process much faster from a decluttering book I read awhile ago. I continue to use them everyday. When you have a good system it eliminates a lot of the stress because you make quick easy decisions according the technique, and it keeps you from getting overwhelmed.
