Delivering Your Down Loadable Audio Product
First off, for every audio you do, try to include a transcript in PDF format of the broadcast. This is an excellent idea if you plan on selling it or offering it as a bonus for another product. It will add more value to your package and is a good selling feature because it provides your customer with more options. Secondly, if you plan on making the whole package a digital download, I wouldn't recommend sending it through individual emails, since you probably have a limitation to the size of file you are able to send. Instead, what I would do personally, is set up a thank you page. After they purchase, you can email them a link or send them to the thank you page, depending on how you have your upsell process set up. If you have it where they can land on the page and say, “By the way, here’s where you can download everything, all the ten audios and everything else right here,” and then say, “Oh, if you want to just make it easier on yourself, you can download the zip file which has everything bundled together.” Then if you’re doing that, you want to make sure they have something like WinZip. This is where you’ll have to explain to them how to unzip the files, just in case they don't know. This can cause it to be less intimidating for your visitor. You also want to make sure that if they’re going to land on that page, that you also email them a link to access the digital files in order to ensure that they get it. That’s going to be very important for you to do. You always need to hold your visitor by the hand whether you know they have the expertise to do it on their own or not. Always over-deliver! This makes you not only look professional but it makes you appear as though you care about your customers and prospects. One other thing you can do that might be good in the stick process is to email them for seven days. You can say something like, “Here’s the link to Audio #1,” and then a few days later have another email that says; “Here’s the link to Audio #2.” Or you can just tell them where they can go to download it immediately. A different option would be to say, “If you haven’t listened to Audio #1, here it is,” and then just send them a link with the audio link so they can go listen to it. “If you haven’t listened to Audio #2, then…” and so on. Sending them these types of emails in the seven-day follow-up sequence after they purchase the product is one of the best ways to build loyalty and trust between you and your visitors. Afterall, you want them to buy from you again and again right!
