1-Know why you are getting it

When designing your own tattoo, you are going to want to make it as unique as possible. The best way to do this is to think about the reason you are actually getting the tattoo. Maybe it is because of love? Maybe it is because of the loss of someone close to you? Or maybe you just want a tattoo because it looks cool. Whatever the reason is think about it right now.

2-Choose your favorite colors

Unless you want to get a black and white tattoo (which is not a bad idea at all) you will need to choose your favorite colors. For most people, I usually have them choose their top five favorite colors from most favorite to least favorite. The reason we choose five is because the average tattoo consists of three colors, but we want to be safe just in case you use two extra colors.

3-Remember the dates

One of the best ways to make a tattoo completely unique to your own style is to remember the important dates of things in your life. You can write down the day that you go married, or you can write down the day you met your love. Whatever day is really important to you, it should be included in the tattoo.
