Diamond Earrings For Any Occasion

Diamond earrings are indeed a beautiful accessory, and they need not be saved for a special occasion. Highly affordable, there are many different types of diamond earrings that can enhance or complete the look of virtually any outfit.

Current fashion is a bit of a throw back to the wild 80’s, only better. T-shirts with bling enhanced designs and low-cut jeans (still torn) are abundant as are black boots and sky-high heels. Fortunately, the big hair stayed in the 80’s, but wearing loads of jewellery is back in style, though it should be done a bit more tastefully.

As the great Coco Chanel advised: “Take one accessory off before leaving the house.” When you wear the bling T-shirts, it’s best to spread the look, so rather than wearing a necklace, diamond earrings will easily do the trick. If the bling is in silver, opt for platinum, white gold or silver settings, and gold bling T-shirts look fabulous with diamond solitaire earrings in gold settings.

Another trend is deeply plunged or strapless shirts paired with skinny jeans and stilettos. For this look, diamond earring dangles work best coupled with a simple chain and large pendant to lay in the plunge. A forearm of diamond bangles finishes the look.

If you opt to wear a large necklace or choker type, consider minimizing the diamond earrings to solitaires. Too much going on in one area of the body can be confusing to the eye. One particular timeless look is to start with a larger carat, perhaps 1 carat, and use a .5 carrot solitaire of similar cut in the second piercing of your earlobe.

Large diamond earrings are most certainly a statement all on their own. If you opt to wear these gorgeous earrings, limit the rest of your accessories.

You can also use diamond earrings to alter the look of the shape of your face. If you have a long face, for example, large diamond earrings can widen your cheek bones and soften the narrow look of your face. Round faces will benefit from long diamond earring dangles that lengthen and thin your face. Diamond solitaires will flatter any face shape.

And what about hairstyles? Updo’s look fantastic with diamond dangles or large solitaires. The messy or casual ponytail or wispy, layered hairstyles look amazing with diamond hoop earrings. Hoops are quite popular and to add diamonds to this classic style adds bling and sizzle.

Pairing other gemstones with diamond accents is also a fabulous way to add some beauty to your earlobes. Pink sapphire, blue tanzanite and amethyst are quite stunning with diamonds!
