The first step to using the Law of Attraction for any purpose is to express your gratitude. In terms of weight loss, you would want to express your gratitude for your body and all that it does for you. Another thing to express gratitude for is the healthy food that you have to eat. Think of all those in this world that are struggling to find enough to eat. It is a very sobering thought as you are finding the simple challenge of losing weight, that there are men, women and even young children that go to bed each night hungry. They would certainly be grateful to be in your position, to have so much food they were struggling to maintain their weight! So begin your weight loss regime by expressing gratitude for your body and also for your food.

Next, you’ll want to take a look at your own thoughts about your body and weight loss in general. The Law of Attraction works in very simple terms: like attracts like. So what you think becomes the reality that you are living each day. If you don’t like the body you have or the weight that you are, think now about the thinking that has gotten you to that weight. How can you work today to change this thinking? You may have some defeatist thoughts about weight loss such as “I can’t lose weight” or “Its so hard to lose weight” or “Only lucky people can lose weight.” These thoughts are holding the pounds to your body, like butter on your mashed potatoes. Getting rid of these thoughts will help to release the unwanted and unhealthy weight from your body.

The other way to create successful weight loss in your life is through visualization. Some people when they visualize may use an old photo of themselves at a healthy weight, or in an outfit that they particularly like. Or they may simply daydream about exactly what they would like to look like and experience once they reach this healthy weight. Make your visualization detailed and really get into the experience. Sometimes as you visualize, you feel as if you are actually there having this experience become real. That is a sign that your weight loss visualization is effective. Do this visualization several times a day.
