Discover The Truth Behind Why Every New Year Just Brings You More Of The Same Old Things
This article will probably make you angry because it contains the truth. Often the truth hurts. It causes pain and pain generally makes us angry.
The reason that every new year just brings most people the same old thing that they have always had should be as obvious as the nose on your face.
Put simply, if nothing changes it will remain the same. For example, without heat water remains a liquid. It cannot form steam. Without cold, water remains a liquid. It cannot form ice. Water will stay as water unless it is changed by doing something to it.
Similarly, if you are not going to change then you, too, will remain the same. When you remain the same you inevitably get more of the same.
Maybe you don't like where your life has been going - do something about it. Maybe you don't like your financial position. Do something about it. Maybe you don't like your job - do something about it. Maybe you don't like your relationships with certain people - do something about it.
Notice that all these events ended in the same words - do something about it.
Understand this - unless you intend to do something about any or all of these things NOTHING will change. Don't complain. Do something about it.
This is why almost everybody will fail to improve their life over the coming year. Sure, they want to improve. They want a better bank balance. They want a better job. They want better relationships. They want all sorts of things. But, that is as far as it goes. They will not do anything about any of it. And so it will stay the same. Status-quo.
Wanting more than what you already have is fine but the difference between wanting something and doing something about it is like comparing the distance between the north and south poles. They are about as far apart as you can get. They are poles apart!
So, I repeat - you need to take action and do something to change your outcome.
If you remain inactive then you are setting yourself up absolutely perfectly to get whatever you have always had in the past. If your laziness and unwillingness to put in the required effort to change is greater than your desire to become more and have more in your life then guess what? You will stay the same old you and you will get whatever you have always received in the past. It is a universal law. Think about it. How can the outcome be any different? How can it?
Your habits and perhaps your laziness or negativity are what will hold you back. You will be the same old you. You will use the same tired old programming that you have always used. It will get you the same old results - unless you change.
Here is a fairly well known definition of stupidity: "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." Is that what you do?
Do you want different results? Easy. Change. Do something. Re-program your mind for greater success.
I warned you at the beginning that I would probably make you angry. Well, that's a start. Let the anger fuel some change in your life.
Make a commitment to yourself - not a "mickey-mouse" commitment that lasts a few days with no effort and then gets dumped. Make a real commitment. Stick with it. See it through. Get passionate. Change your mindset. I know that change will cause you pain. That is good. That is your old self getting slapped around and not liking it. That is the start of growth.
Let me use another example. Most people would like a few hundred dollars a week more than what they are getting now. That would make all the difference in the world to them. But they won't get it by using the same mindset that they have always used. New thinking will bring new results.
You can really change if you are sick and tired of getting the same results that you have always had in the past.
You can do more. You can be more. You can have more. Change your ways. You might even learn to like it.
