Dish Family - The Affordable Satellite Tv Package

When Dish Network introduced the Dish Family package there was no doubt that they wanted to offer programming that was more geared toward wholesome channels that would allow any member of the family to go to the TV set, switch it on and not be confronted with inappropriate material, but even more important was the fact that it could fit into just about any budget. In hard economic times it’s nice to see companies like Dish Network trying to find ways to give more to those who are watching every penny they spend and Dish Family stands far and above the rest in giving true value to watching TV.

Even though Dish Family costs less than $20 for the first year during the current promotion, what it really comes down to is how many channels it delivers for the money, and at last count there were over 55 channels. Listed below is a breakdown of what’s in store for the kids, the parents, and the family as a whole.

The kids will be delighted to find there are channels like Boomerang, Nick Toons, Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids, and CD-Kidtunes for music that’s made just for children. Nickelodeon, or “Nick” for short is the biggest attraction of all with programming that is perfectly timed each day for the age of the child that is most likely going to be watching it. In the morning when most school aged kids are off at school, toddlers can watch shows like Dora the Explorer, Max and Ruby, Bubble Guppies, and the wildly popular Spongebob Squarepants. When the school kids get home they shows like iCarly and the Fairly Oddparents that will speak to them with entertainment that understands their interest.

The parents have programming that will not only keep them informed with news channels like Fox News, C-SPAN, Headline News Network, and the Weather Channel, but there’s also channels that offer helpful advice in keeping the home a more comfortable place with choices like the Do It Yourself Channel that has shows to help you save money by performing projects that normally are relegated to a plumber or carpenter. If your family happens to live in a rural area, there’s even a channel that’s made for you called RFDTV that has the latest farm reports and information perfect for those who love country living. When it comes to getting great deals on quality products, there’s ShopNBC, HSN and QVC for online shopping that are constantly running daily specials that will save you a lot of money.
When it’s time for the whole family to come together for some wholesome quality entertainment you can’t do better than to get channels like Animal Planet, the Hallmark Channel, Nick at Nite, and TV Land that has sitcoms and TV shows that will keep every member of the family delighted to spend that time together.
