Dish Latino Plus Adds The English Channels

Even though Dish Network sees that there’s an increasing need to provide a large selection of Spanish TV channels for the Latino subscribers, it’s also become very apparent that the Hispanic community is becoming more intermixed with family members who’ve adapted to the prevalent language here in the United States, and are interested in having access to some of the more popular English speaking TV channels available to most of the English based packages. It’s for those viewers that Dish Network has put together the Dish Latino Plus package.

The two least expensive Spanish channel packages available within the Dish Latino array of packages are the Dish Latino Basico and the Dish Latino Clasico, both of which carry a large majority of the most popular Spanish channels and networks that are requested by the Spanish speaking subscribers. Both packages can be obtained for less than $23 per month for the first year through an ongoing promotion offered by Dish Network, but they really don’t offer much in terms of English TV channels. The Dish Latino Plus package fills that gap by adding an additional six English channels over and above what the Dish Latino Clasico package offers, bringing in a total of over 111 channels to select from.

The additional channels that are added to the Plus package are choices that will suit any and every member of the family, and considering that there are more children of Latino immigrants speaking both languages, it’s no wonder that 2 of the 6 additional channels are devoted to kids. The 2 channels that will keep the kids glued to the TV set are Cartoon Network and Boomerang. For those not familiar with Boomerang, it’s a part of Cartoon Network that shows all the older cartoons like Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, and The Pink Panther.

The other four channels that are included in the Dish Latino Plus package are USA, AMC, TBS, and SyFy. Wikipedia has listed USA, TBS, and SyFy within the top 10 of the most watched TV channels in the U.S., so it’s no wonder that they were amongst the primary choices for adding to the package.

Dish Network usually has quite a few promotional special offers going on that will sweeten the pot, so make sure you ask them about everything that’s available.
