Do You Really Hate Working Out?

Gym Workouts do you hate them? A lot of people have excuses for not going to the gym. If your only excuse is I hate working out then things you might want to try and think about.

What is it that you really hate about? Do you hate the gym? Do hate your routine? You hate being sweaty? Once you figure out exactly it is that you hate, try to remedy that situation first rather than just quitting

Always do something new. If you hate the gym, try going to a park. If you hate running try the bike, or roller skating, or jump rope. If you hate being sweaty, try swimming. Explore your options before you just rule it out all together, surely you’ll find something that you will enjoy.

No one said that you have to go to the gym to be physically active. You can join a slow-pitch softball league, or a kickball league, or a basketball league or whatever. You get a lot of exercise by playing a fun game that everyone can enjoy. You also can get you friends to join you in these activities and you can meet new people which is also healthy. You can do intense workouts at the house and that great workout. Turn the stereo up and scrub down the bath tub, mop the floors, make the bed, mow the lawn, rake the leaves, and ect.

Change your mentality! If you have a burning desire to be healthy and physically in shape then believe it, see your self doing it and do it. Your mind is a powerful thing. Your going to fail, everyone does. The ones that keep going at it will succeed. Instead of looking at where you want to be, look at where you are. Going in there take and easy, let your body adapt to what you are doing. As time goes then you can add a set, reps, or more weight.

It easy to see where you want to be, but it hard to see your self ever getting there. Got to remember it took years for your body to get out of shape and its going to take time to change your physical appearance. Long term goals are great but short term goals is how you achieve you long term goals. Set you goal for the current day, current week, and current month. When you do this you will see results, and that what it’s all about, seeing results. When you achieve your goals reward your self. Don’t go crazy and eat a whole cake! But go to the movie, or grab a nice dinner, or get some new shoes.

As you can see there are so many ways to alternate you workout routines. Anything is better than nothing. Remember to start where you’re at and not where you want to be. If you try and start where you wan to be, you’re going to be sore and no one likes being sore. So start slow, be patient, and keep a positive attitude and you will be fine. Before you know it you will be happier, have more energy, and change your appearance.
