Do Deodorants / Antiperspirants Increase The Risk Of Breast Cancer?
Occurrence of breast cancer, or any other condition for that part, is extremely hard to trace back to one single factor, often there are several factors at work in each case. Deodorants / antiperspirants have long been rumoured to cause cancer of the breast but there have been no studies so far which have either proved or disproved this. The reason deodorants could be considered as to cause breast cancer is that there are chemical substances called parabens which are used as deodorant preservatives and which have been found in breast cancer tissues. However, it is still debated whether parabens can enter inside the skin externally. So, is it time to stay smelly and throw away your deos? That is upto you of course, but you can certainly help yourself by regular medical check ups, especially if you are a woman aged 30 and above.
