What is the definition of search engine optimization? Search engine optimization is simply designing a webpage to rank well for specific keywords. Search engine optimization is almost an art form. It is also something that many amateurs try to do and may be able to do with some limited success. You can do this by using those keywords throughout the webpage and in specific other areas of the HTML, such as the title tag. The off-site factors will also weigh heavily on how well you rank. Getting incoming links to your website is important in any SEO efforts that you may put forth. Do it well and it will take care of you for a long time.


Date stream are something interesting that is available for many affiliate marketers. These are listings of related items that are made available in a format which will put them neatly onto your webpage. You may be able to customize the data stream to a certain extent, but for most parts, you will be limited to whatever they're title and description for each item happens to be. Many people are wondering if this can hurt their search engine rankings because of duplicate content issues since these data streams can be used on many websites. The answer is yes and no.

If you want to use the data streams in order to put the affiliate products on your page, make sure that it is not the main focus of your webpage content. For example, if you were selling household items on your website, write an article about household items and then include the data stream for those particular items on the same page. The data stream itself will be duplicate content but if you use a special article, the entire page will be seen as special. This is the best way to continue ranking for specific keywords while keeping your website clean and free from any duplicate content issues.
