Does yeast infection have a smell to it ? How can you distinguish the yeast infection smell from natural vaginal odors. Well, the yeast infection have a lot more heavy smell to it then your natural vaginal odor also the heavy smell usually comes with a whitish milky white discharge. So, most of the time you'll be aware that something is wrong.

From time to time it is normal to have an odor in that area, because of the changes hormones are going through and all that. So it is normal to have a smell and that is definitely not an indicator of an illness at all. But if you think the smell is getting a little bit heavier than you think and it has almost a fishy smell to it, it is not good to ignore a problem like this.

Inside your vaginal area there are natural and needed bacteria. These bacterias exist to prevent any kind of infections that you may get. They keep it sort of in a balance. But if the fishy smell or a heavy smell occurs it is probably a sign of a different bacteria that is multiplying in your body. Which will probably give you an infection if you don't act on it right away.

It is really important to keep the infected are clean at all times. Either you have the infection or not this is a matter of hygiene. Washing your intimate area more frequently in the day will be much more helpful. But try not to use a scented saop, or try not to overdo it, because that might irritate your skin. Using an unscented soap and washing 2 or 3 times a day will be more helpful than you think.

Although if you are trying to find out a way to get rid of that fishy smell immediately, you can try and use this natural and safe way. The easiest way is to insert a garlic clove in to your vagina, like you do with a tampon. By doing that you'll not only get rid of that heavy smell, you'll also treat your yeast infection. Garlic will naturally eliminate any infection you have on that private area and thus stops the bad smell.
